What does PCI Compliance mean and how does it keep me safe?

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a robust and comprehensive set of requirements designed to ensure that a company's process for storing or transmitting credit card information involves the highest level of security and ensures the safe handling of cardholder information at every step of the buying process. This is a standard set by the major credit card companies.

We take security seriously:

Cellit.com.au has undergone very stringent testing by third party sources, has passed PCI compliancy and maintains a safe ordering and browsing environment for our customers. This is not an easy standard to achieve and takes many hours of work and personnel resources to make our store PCI compliant. It's not a one time event either...it's an ongoing process to make sure we hold the highest standards at all times.

PCI compliance goes far beyond website functionality and security as well. Security is looked at in all aspects both online and offline: How a customer service representative takes credit card information over the phone, how secure our server room is, who can access information, how an online transaction is processed and much more. We take every precaution and follow these strict standards to keep your data safe.
